Usage Note
Maldito is the past participle of maldecir (to curse) used as a strong intensifying adjective. Before a noun it often functions as a mild expletive — ese maldito tráfico (that damned traffic) — comparable to 'bloody' in British English. It can also be used literally: el ser maldito (the cursed being). The feminine form is maldita and it intensifies further in ¡Maldita sea! (Damn it!).
Examples
"¡Ese maldito ruido no me deja dormir!"
Natural Translation
That damned noise won't let me sleep!
