Usage Note

Legendario describes something belonging to legend or so remarkable it has become the stuff of legend. It is used both in its strict sense (personaje legendario, a legendary figure from folklore) and hyperbolically in informal speech (ese gol fue legendario, that goal was legendary). The noun leyenda (legend) is the direct base. Feminine: legendaria.
