Usage Note

Justificado is the past participle of justificar used as an adjective. It means that something has been given a valid reason or rationale (ausencia justificada = excused absence). In printing and typography, texto justificado refers to justified text (aligned on both margins), a use learners often miss. The antonym is injustificado.
