Irregularidad refers to a deviation from normal rules or standards, often with connotations of wrongdoing: irregularidades contables (accounting irregularities), irregularidades electorales (electoral irregularities). It is more neutral than fraude (fraud) but implies something was not done correctly. The plural is regular: irregularidades.
