Usage Note
Insultante is an invariable adjective in terms of gender (it ends in -e for both masculine and feminine) but agrees in number: un comentario insultante / unos comentarios insultantes. It is stronger than ofensivo and implies a direct personal affront. The related verb is insultar and the noun is insulto. In colloquial use it can be hyperbolic — es insultante lo barato que está ('it's outrageously cheap') — without implying a personal offence.
