insistence

Also means

persistence

Usage Note

Insistencia conveys the quality of persisting or pressing a point. The common preposition it takes is en: su insistencia en llegar a tiempo 'her insistence on arriving on time'. The corresponding verb is insistir en + infinitive. Do not confuse insistencia with persistencia, which is broader and not always pushy in register.

Examples

"Su insistencia logró el cambio."

Natural Translation

His insistence achieved the change.
