Usage Note

Inconfundible describes something so distinctive it cannot be confused with anything else (su voz es inconfundible). It is invariable in gender: un sabor inconfundible, una voz inconfundible. The prefix in- adds negation to confundible ('confusable'), from confundir ('to confuse').
