Usage Note
Gastado is the past participle of gastar used adjectivally, meaning physically worn (shoes, a phrase) or financially depleted. Un chiste gastado is a worn-out joke. Agreement: gastada, gastados, gastadas. Do not confuse with cansado (tired).
