Feo covers physical ugliness but also describes an unpleasant situation or action: eso fue muy feo ('that was really nasty'). As an adverb it appears in colloquial expressions like oler feo ('to smell bad'). The feminine form is fea; the superlative feísimo is emphatic and common in speech.
