Usage Note
Espectacular does not change for gender (un gol espectacular, una vista espectacular) and takes the plural espectaculares. It is used both literally (visually stunning) and as a colloquial intensifier in Latin America and Spain. The related noun is espectáculo (show, spectacle), from Latin spectaculum.
