Enfriar means to lower the temperature of something; the reflexive enfriarse means 'to get cold' or figuratively 'to cool off' (las relaciones se enfriaron = 'relations cooled'). It is a regular -iar verb whose stress pattern places the accent on the i in some forms: enfría, enfrías.
