Ejercido is the past participle of ejercer used as an adjective, describing a right, profession, or activity that has been actively carried out. In legal texts, derecho ejercido means a right that has been formally exercised. The verb ejercer (to exercise, to practise a profession) follows a regular -er pattern but note the spelling change c→z before o (ejerzo).
