Usage Note
Disquera is the standard term for a record label in Latin America (discográfica is preferred in Spain). It derives from disco (record/disc). In the streaming era, the word still names the companies that sign and distribute artists, even when no physical discs are involved. Do not confuse with discoteca (nightclub or record shop).
Examples
"La disquera firmó a tres artistas nuevos."
Natural Translation
The record label signed three new artists.
