destinatario

recipient

noun des-tee-nah-TAH-ryoh Rare

Also means

addressee

Usage Note

Destinatario is the person to whom something is addressed or sent — a letter, parcel, or legal notice. In email and messaging apps it labels the 'To' field. The feminine form is destinataria. Do not confuse it with destino (destination, a place) — the -ario suffix marks a person rather than a place.

Examples

"El destinatario no estaba en casa cuando llegó el paquete."

Natural Translation

The recipient was not home when the package arrived.
