Usage Note

Concebir is an -e→-i stem-changing verb: concibo, concibe. It covers intellectual conception (no puedo concebir cómo, 'I can't imagine how') and biological conception. The noun is concepción. Do not confuse with percibir ('to perceive') despite the similar sound.
