Usage Note
Con contracts with the first- and second-person singular pronouns to form conmigo 'with me' and contigo 'with you', unique fused forms that learners must memorize. The third-person form consigo 'with him/herself/themselves' is reflexive and more formal. Con also introduces instrument or manner: escribe con lápiz 'write with a pencil'.
Examples
"Voy al mercado con mi madre."
Natural Translation
I'm going to the market with my mother.
