Colgante as an adjective describes something suspended or hanging — puente colgante (suspension bridge). As a noun (un colgante) it means a pendant or charm worn on a necklace. The related verb is colgar (to hang). Colgante is invariable for gender as an adjective: una lámpara colgante.
