Usage Note
Aerosol refers both to the pressurized spray canister and to the fine suspension of particles in air (as in air-quality science). In everyday use, spray (borrowed from English) is also widely used across Latin America and Spain. The plural is aerosoles. In medicine, aerosol denotes inhaled medication delivered via a nebulizer.
