Usage Note

Claro can modify a noun (un cielo claro, 'a clear sky') or stand alone as an affirmative interjection ('of course!'). As an adverb it intensifies: hablar claro means 'to speak plainly'. The feminine form is clara, and a las claras means 'openly, without pretence'.
