Catalogar follows the -gar spelling-change pattern: the g becomes gu before e (catalogocatalogué). Beyond literal cataloguing, it is widely used figuratively meaning 'to label or pigeonhole someone' (lo catalogaron de rebelde, 'they labelled him a rebel').
