Usage Note

Cargado is the past participle of cargar used as an adjective, so it agrees in gender and number (cargada, cargados). Beyond physical loads it describes heavy or oppressive weather (ambiente cargado = 'stuffy air') and a strong drink (café muy cargado = 'very strong coffee'). The phrase cargado de means 'laden with'.
