Usage Note
Canoso describes hair or a person whose hair has turned grey or white with age. It applies to both the hair itself (cabello canoso) and the person (un hombre canoso). It is distinct from cano (archaic/poetic) and is not used for dyed or bleached hair. The feminine form is canosa.
