Calificativo refers to a word or phrase used to describe or label someone or something, often with evaluative force: un calificativo despectivo ('a pejorative label'). In grammar, adjetivo calificativo specifically denotes a descriptive adjective (as opposed to a determinative one). It is more formal than etiqueta ('label') in everyday use.
