Usage Note

Caber means to fit inside a space (no cabe en la maleta, 'it doesn't fit in the suitcase'). It is highly irregular: first-person present is quepo, and the preterite stem is cup- (cupo, cupiste). The phrase no cabe duda ('there is no doubt') is a fixed expression worth learning early.
