Cápsula is the accented esdrújula (antepenultimate-stress) form — the accent is obligatory. It is used for pharmaceutical capsules (tomar una cápsula), space capsules (cápsula espacial), and the small sealed containers in coffee machines (cápsula de café). The plural is regular: cápsulas.
