Usage Note

Borrar covers both physical erasing (rubber on paper) and digital deletion (files, messages). Borrar is a regular -ar verb with no stem change. The reflexive borrarse can mean to fade away (a stain) or to unsubscribe from a list. Do not confuse with tachar (to cross out), which leaves the text visible.
