Bendición is used both literally (a religious blessing from a priest or parent) and figuratively (es una bendición — it's a blessing/godsend). The plural bendiciones is common in farewell phrases. The verb is bendecir (to bless), which has irregular forms: past participle bendito, future bendeciré.
