Usage Note

Bajar is regular and versatile: 'to go/come down', 'to lower' (a price, volume), and in digital Spanish 'to download' (bajar un archivo). Its antonym is subir. The reflexive bajarse can mean 'to get off' (a bus or train) or 'to lower oneself'. In Latin America bajar is preferred over descargar for downloading files.
