Usage Note
Atento means attentive or considerate and can describe both a person (es muy atento = 'he is very thoughtful') and a state of watchfulness (estar atento = 'to pay attention'). In formal correspondence, Atentamente is the standard sign-off equivalent to 'Yours sincerely'.
