to assemble
Usage Note
Armar covers both 'to arm' with weapons and 'to assemble or put together' (armar una tienda de campaña = 'to pitch a tent'). The reflexive armarse is used in the idiom armarse de valor ('to summon courage') and informally ¡se armó! means 'trouble broke out!'. It is a broad, productive verb.
