Usage Note
Apache refers to the Indigenous people of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, or to anything relating to their culture. In Spanish it is used as both adjective and noun — un guerrero apache (an Apache warrior), los apaches (the Apache people). Note the accent falls on the second syllable in Spanish pronunciation, unlike the common English stress pattern.
Examples
"Los apaches fueron grandes guerreros del desierto."
Natural Translation
The Apache were great warriors of the desert.
