Usage Note
Aniversario applies to any yearly recurrence — a wedding anniversary, the anniversary of a historical event, or a company's founding date. In Spain and Latin America it is not reserved for weddings alone, unlike the English word in informal use. Aniversario de boda specifies a wedding anniversary.
