Usage Note
Únicamente is the formal or emphatic equivalent of solo or solamente, often preferred in written and official language. It intensifies the exclusivity of a statement (únicamente los mayores de edad, 'only adults'). The written accent of the base adjective única is kept in the adverb, as happens with all -mente adverbs built on an accented adjective.
