Verosímil describes something that appears true or believable, making it a close synonym of creíble in literary and journalistic registers. Its opposite is inverosímil ('implausible'), frequently seen in book reviews. The word is invariable in gender (una historia verosímil, un relato verosímil) and forms its plural with -es.
