Turbina refers to any rotary engine driven by a fluid (steam, water, gas, wind): turbina de vapor (steam turbine), turbina eólica (wind turbine). The adjective turbinado (turbinated) belongs to a separate anatomical or botanical sense. It is always feminine and forms a regular plural turbinas.
