Traficante is a common-gender noun — el/la traficante — used for both sexes. It almost always appears with a complement: traficante de drogas (drug trafficker), traficante de armas (arms dealer). Without a complement it is understood to mean a drug trafficker in most contemporary contexts. The verb is traficar.
