Tobogán refers primarily to a playground slide in everyday Spanish (el tobogán del parque, the playground slide), but also to a toboggan or sled run in a winter sports context. In some Latin American countries resbaladilla or resbalín are preferred for the playground slide. It drops the written accent in the plural: toboganes.
