Usage Note

Tesorero is the treasurer of an organization, club, or institution — responsible for managing funds. The feminine form is tesorera. It derives from tesoro (treasure). In formal organizations the full title is often tesorero/a of the board (junta directiva), distinct from a bank cashier (cajero).
