Usage Note

Terraza can refer to a café's outdoor seating area (a key part of Spanish social culture), a rooftop terrace on a building, or an agricultural terrace cut into a hillside. In Spain, the expression salir a la terraza most commonly means going to sit outside at a bar. Do not confuse with terrario (terrarium).
