Usage Note
Tarima refers to a raised wooden platform or dais — used for speakers, musicians on a stage, or as a teacher's platform at the front of a classroom. It is smaller and more temporary-feeling than escenario (a full stage). In construction, tarima flotante (floating floor) refers to a type of wooden flooring.
