Solidaridad is a key term in Spanish social and political discourse, expressing collective support and shared responsibility. The labor slogan la solidaridad obrera ('workers' solidarity') is historic. The adjective solidario is used widely: una acción solidaria (a solidarity action), hacerse solidario con (to stand in solidarity with).
