Usage Note
Situado is the past participle of situar used as an adjective, meaning 'situated' or 'located'. It always agrees in gender and number with the noun it modifies: la ciudad situada al norte (the city situated in the north). It is slightly more formal than ubicado, which is more common in Latin American Spanish.
