Sintonía has two core senses: in broadcasting, the theme tune or signature melody of a programme (la sintonía del telediario — the news theme); and in the figurative sense, rapport or harmony between people or ideas (estar en sintonía con alguien — to be on the same wavelength as someone). In radio/TV, sintonizar means to tune in to a channel.
