Usage Note

Siete is invariable for gender. It belongs to the single-word cardinal numbers (1–15) that learners must memorize before the regular compound pattern kicks in at dieciséis. In many Spanish-speaking countries, the handwritten numeral 7 is crossed with a horizontal bar to distinguish it from 1.
