Salida is the noun from salir (to leave) and covers a physical exit, a departure time (la salida del tren, the train's departure), and figuratively a solution or way out of a problem (no hay salida, there's no way out). The opposite is entrada (entrance/arrival). Airport departure gates are marked salidas.
