Usage Note

Romántico covers both the historical Romantic movement in arts and literature and the everyday sense of being loving or sentimental. When referring to the artistic period, it is often capitalised (el Romanticismo). As a noun (un romántico) it describes a hopeless romantic. The female form is romántica.
