Also means
bore
Usage Note
Rollo has a wide colloquial range. Literally it is a roll or scroll (rollo de papel). In informal Spain, qué rollo! means 'what a bore!' or 'what a drag!' — a sense not shared as strongly in Latin America. It also means a 'thing' or 'scene' (el rollo de la política = the whole politics thing). Learners should note this strong colloquial register.
Examples
"Ese discurso fue un rollo enorme."
Natural Translation
That speech was a huge bore.
