Usage Note

Resurrección is used both theologically (the resurrection of Christ) and figuratively for any dramatic comeback or revival — la resurrección de un partido político (the revival of a political party). Like all Spanish nouns ending in -ción, it is feminine. The plural resurrecciones is regular.
