Usage Note
Remake is an anglicism fully integrated into Spanish entertainment journalism, used for a new version of a film, TV series, or song. It is masculine and typically unchanged in the plural (los remakes). The RAE suggests nueva versión as a native alternative, but remake is overwhelmingly preferred in practice across Spain and Latin America.
