Usage Note
Reconsiderar means to think again about a decision already made, often with a view to changing it. It is more formal than pensarlo de nuevo. Te pido que reconsideres tu decisión (I ask you to reconsider your decision) is a typical diplomatic use. The stress falls on the final syllable — regular -ar conjugation with no stem changes.
